Birdwatching

Izki holds over 130 recorded bird species, among them the rare black stork. Spring is the defining season. Migratory raptors return to the Pyrenean oak woodland, and the park comes into its fullest character.

Hiking and Mountain bike

Forest tracks, open ridges and long descents through Izki, with views across Álava. Several routes begin from Urturi's own golf course. On foot or by bike, the park is accessible from the house.

Stargazing

Far from city light, Izki's skies are among the darkest in the Basque Country. In summer, the scale of the night is something you feel from the ground. Unhurried, wide, and entirely still.
